Common Questions
What is the difference between 1:1 and 2:1 epoxy?
The ratio refers to parts A to parts B by volume. A 1:1 formula (Table Top, Art Resin) mixes equal parts. A 2:1 formula (Deep Pour, 24 Hour) mixes two parts A to one part B. The 2:1 chemistry is engineered for lower exotherm — meaning it generates less heat during cure — which allows thicker pours without cracking or yellowing.
How do I know which pour depth I need?
Measure the deepest void you need to fill in a single pour. Under ¼ inch: Table Top 1:1. Up to 1 inch: 24 Hour Liquid Glass. 2–4 inches: Liquid Glass Deep Pour. Building up in multiple ¼" coats is always an option with Table Top if you prefer a slower layered approach.
Are all Superclear products food safe?
Yes — all four formulas meet FDA guidelines for indirect food contact once fully cured (30 days at room temperature). During mixing and curing the resins should not contact food. After 30 days, the surface is inert and safe for use as a bar top or countertop.
Can I topcoat my deep pour with Table Top Epoxy?
Yes, and this is a common workflow: pour your river table fill with Liquid Glass Deep Pour, let it fully cure, then sand and apply a final coat of Table Top 1:1 for a high-gloss, scratch-resistant finish. The products are compatible by design.
